Is there WLAN?

WLAN is available free of charge in all rooms. The network “zollfrei” requires no password. This network also works very well for video conferencing.

If a stronger network is needed, the more powerful closed network “Flex Zollhaus” is available. The password can be found in the booked room.

Where are the Flex rooms?

The main entrance, opened during the day, is located at Zollstrasse 121, 8005 Zurich. The entrance brings you to the Forum, the reception area of the house. The reception and flex rooms are on the 1st floor. Follow the signs up the main staircase or use the elevator to the second floor.

How do I arrive by public transport?

Zollhaus is a car-free settlement, and we are happy if our guests arrive via public transportation. The bus stop “Röntgenstrasse” is directly in front of the building, take bus-line 32. Zurich main train station is an eight-minute walk away and the tram stop “Zurich, Limmatplatz” is a five-minute walk away. Go to Zollstrasse 121 and follow the descriptions under “Where are the Flex rooms?”.

Where do I park my bicycle?

There are parking structures for bicycles in front of the house. We are happy you arrive by bicycle.

What does a booking include?

Rental agreements stipulate independent set-up and cleanup. We explicitly offer the meeting rooms at a low price. Basic furnishing in the rooms is provided. All other services/supplies are subject to a charge or have to be taken care of by the renters themselves.

What is available in the Flex rooms?

The room is standardly furnished with 2-12 to folding tables and 8-24 chairs, depending on the room size. Each room has a whiteboard with pens in four colors. The walls are treated with magnetic paint to allow documents to be hung up. There are 20 magnets available for this purpose. For presentations of any kind from laptop, tablet or mobile, an LCD display is available in Flex rooms A, C, D and E. Connection is possible via HDMI cable, wireless with Barco ClickShare or via app.

Each room also has hand sanitizer, table cleaning supplies, a trashcan, and a small broom and dustpan. More detailed information about each room can be found on the website under “Flex Meeting Rooms”.

Where can I get my key / access code?

Room access works with a code. With a completed booking you will receive a confirmation with your booking number. The code is the last 6 digits before the hyphen. Entering this 6-digit code and nothing else opens the room doors.

What do I have to consider when entering the code?

Next to the door you will find the e-reader (small black box). Enter the code, the last 6-digits before the hyphen. This number is found in your booking confirmation, which is sent by admin@wy.by after a successful booking. Simply entering this 6-digit code opens the room doors. The code is valid for the duration of your reservation. Please do not leave anything in the room and always have the code with you. When leaving the room, during your booking time, doors will automatically lock and the code must be entered again to get back in.

How do I get into the house if the main entrance is closed?

There is an e-reader on the left side of the main entrance door. Enter the access code, which is the same as for the Flex room. Follow the signs to the left into the staircase and go to the 1st floor.

 

Will my room be furnished?

Basic equipment is available in the rooms. Rooms can be rearranged at will to suit your activity but at the end of use, please leave rooms the as found. All additional services/supplies are available for a fee and must be arranged in advance. Please include enough time for set-up and cleanup in the booking as well.

What catering options do I have in the house?

On the same floor as the Flex meeting rooms is the “GLEIS” café, which offers catering, coffee and drinks for your breaks. You can book the catering online (for more than 20 persons please contact info@flex-zollhaus.ch). The restaurant “Osso” on street level offers an extensive menu.

Where do I dispose of my waste?

There is a garbage can in each room where you can dispose of basic waste. PET bottles, paper, glass bottles and more – we ask you to take with you and dispose of it offsite.

Is it allowed to eat & drink in the rooms?

Eating and drinking is allowed. Checking out, rooms must be left clean and as you found them. Table cleaning supplies and a small broom and dustpan are available. Please dispose of large quantities of trash and recyclables offsite.

Can I book a room at short notice?

Buchungen sind sehr kurzfristig auf 15 Minuten genau auf unserer Buchungsplattform möglich. Besondere Einrichtungen oder zusätzliche Dienstleistungen können bis spätestens 72 Stunden vor Antritt der Veranstaltung gebucht werden und sind nur mit einer schriftlichen Bestätigung unsererseits garantiert.

Can I cancel a reservation?

Cancellations can be made up to 3 days before the start of the event of free of charge. Cancellations can be made online on the booking platform under “My bookings”.

Is it possible to arrive by car and where can I park?

The Zollhaus is a car-free settlement and we ask that you to arrive by public transport whenever possible. We are very centrally located. There are a few parking spaces available in the parking garage, which can be booked on the online booking platform. You will receive more information on how to get to the parking garage with the booking confirmation.

When is someone from the staff on site?

The reception is open Monday to Friday from 15:00 to 19:00. 

Can I book additional services at short notice?

Tech equipment and a whiteboard are already included in the booking. Presentation cases and catering can be booked additionally. The additional services can only be guaranteed 72 hours before the start of the event. If you have any further needs, please contact us by email at info@flex-zollhaus.ch.

Can I book a catering service?

Catering service can be booked up to 72 hours before the event for groups of 6 – 20 people. For larger groups, please contact us by mail info@flex-zollhaus.ch.

Can I book a room with concert seating?

Yes, we offer concert seating in Flex A (54m2/max. 45 pers.) and Flex D (89 m2/max. 90 pers.). In order for us to set up the room for you, the room must be booked at least one week before the event date. Please contact us by email at info@flex-zollhaus.ch or by phone 044 295 94 92.

Is a projector available in the room?

Our rooms are equipped with audio/visual technology and high-resolution screens. For presentations of any kind from a laptop, tablet or mobile, a LCD display is available in Flex rooms A, C, D and E. Connection is possible via HDMI cable, wireless with Barco ClickShare or via App. More detailed information about each room can be found on the website under “Flex meeting rooms”. Tech equipment is included in the rental fee.
